Into each Generation a Slayer is born...

The "Welcome to Sunnydale" fell one last time, Buffy smiled and that was the end. I have spent the last 8 weeks watching the full 7 seasons of Buffy The Vampire Slayer (and 5 seasons of Angel simultaneously) including a lot of bonuses; being currently unemployed left me some time to do this marathon, only one season of Angel to go and I'll be done. I watched it all in French, but now I feel like watching them all again in English, just to make sure I get their idea the same way.

I wanted to do this since a long time, see the complete series at once. It allowed me to understand it much better, to notice things that I hadn't noticed before, to compare and relate to previous episodes, to realize the stories they tell are still interesting and timeless and that I still love the show more than ever.

I've laughed and cried, loved and hated some characters, experienced fear and joy and I sang along too: "Once more with feeling", bands singing at the Bronze and more. I enjoyed the monsters and the Scooby gang, identified with Xander but wanting to be Willow, admired Buffy's strength and courage, adored the Buffy-Spike relationship though I thought it was evil at first but still hope there is a future for Buffy and Angel together like we can read in fan stories on internet.

For years I've been thinking on and off about getting a tattoo but never knew what kind of tattoo I'd like to have since it is to keep for life. Watching Buffy and Angel made me think about it further, now I'm almost obsessed. I know that if I ever make my mind for a tattoo it will have to be Buffy related, in fact I want to have a Claddagh tattoo. The last step in this process is to take the decision.

After some research on internet, I've made my mind on somthing that costs more than a tattoo but that will be a great memory. I'm going to James Marsters concert in London on April 30th.

Le Salon de l'Auto / The Car Fair

Today I went to Geneva to visit the international motor show. I got 2 invitation tickets from Diana; I went by foot to Medtronic, where she works, yesterday to pick them up - quite a walk.

The first time I went was last year, I don't remember how long I stayed, but I think that was much longer than I did today. Cars are not of such a big interest to me and I'm going just because that makes me do something special. Well, I stayed about 4 hours this time and did not find it as interesting as it was last year, maybe because there was only one brand that had organized a drawing competition and most brands did not have anything (like keyrings or pens or miniature cars) to give away but bags and car brochures, I was disappointed.

Anyway, I must say a few good things: the best decoration/animation goes to Renault, their place was very environment conscious and there were interactive screens where you could learn a lot about some special pieces of the cars and what they are for. My favorite car is the Skoda Fabia, I kind of loved it last year and still love it now, if I have to change my car one day I'd most probably go for that one. I liked the drawing of Opel because I got to win one of the C'mons, its name is White. There was a hell of a lot of people in front of the Ferrari place, but I did have a glance at a beautiful black convertible, I don't even want to imagine how much it costs.

    Theatre and Paella

On Friday I went to La Sarraz to see my friend Anne onstage. She is playing in "Grain de Sable", a nice play taking place in a tropical bungalow. Imagine what happens when a just married couple, a bandit couple, a Belgian couple and 2 plastic surgery addict women are given the same bungalow. The play was great, Anne was excellent and that evening after the show Anne announced me that she is getting married next year.

Last night, Saturday, there was the annual Paella party to support FC Coffrane the local football/soccer team. It is not local to where I live, but where I grew up, I am going every year. It's fun, there's a lot of people to talk to and music to dance to and the best paella of the world.

    The 1st of March March

The 1st of March is a historical date in the state of Neuchatel. It's the date when the state became officially part of Switzerland in 1848.

Since then, every year we celebrate this event with a big march, see below. This was the march the people took for the revolution to get their independence. I only walked the last part from Malvilliers to Neuchâtel (D to E), it took about 2 hours, my sister and her boyfriend walked with me. My father walked from La Chaux-de-Fonds (B), he is a good walker since over a year.
