    To Leeds

The aim of my visit was to stay with Gordy (see my India travel) and his wife unfortunately her mother died a few days before I came and I could not stay with them.

On Tuesday I took off to Leeds, after I left my suitcase at the Bed & Breakfast I walked the streets and admired some nice pieces at the Art Gallery.

On Wednesday I visited the Thackray Museum, it's all about medial things and it is one of the most interesting museums I have ever seen. It is really well done, presented and complete; I spent hours there. Then I went to the Royal Armouries, which was also very interesting in many ways and where I also spent hours, until the museum closed in fact. I was exhausted after a long day wandering lots of galleries.

On Thursday I went to the markets, Friday I did some shopping and Saturday I missed my plane because I was reading in a Starbucks and time flew and it happened, my first time, I felt like an idiot.

    Wedding dresses

Diana, my brother's fiancée asked me and my mother to go with her today to see her try on some wedding dresses. I felt so good that I could go, I admit that when Rachel, my cousin, married 2.5 years ago, I was a little jealous that she asked my sister to go with her to try on her wedding dress. She tried many dresses in 3 different shops in Neuchâtel, but did not really love any.

After we finished that she came with me to La Chaux-de-Fonds where a Wedding Fair (salon du mariage) was on that weekend. She helped me put my wedding photography flyers on the cars in the parking before we came back home for dinner. I photograph wedding because I enjoy that not for money, therefore I don't have any budget for a booth in the wedding fairs.

    Seeing some friends

On Sunday 13th, I picked up Danielle and her boyfriend in St-Prex and we went to the Metropolis restaurant where her cousin Phil was waiting for us. We had a really nice dinner, a nice walk and then drinks at a bar before I drove them home. The evening was great but I really don't like the way Phil is flirting with me, he sends me too many text messages, I don't like that and I told him and Danielle because I know he respects her. Now it's over.

That Monday, there was a meeting with the village choir, I'm making their website but needed more information from them, talking to them was the best solution as they did not answer to my questions previously.

Today, I finally went to see AnneCat, Gab and their baby girl Elisa. I was so looking forward to see them. Elisa is so small and cute; AnneCat decorated her room and made it a place for her princess. At some point we went to the shop while Gab watched Elisa and she said that was the first time since Elisa's birth that they parted. I spent the whole afternoon with them, time flew and it was awesome.

    Happy New Year in Egypt

The trip to Egypt was a gift from my parents for my 30th birthday, it was a surprise and they took me and my grandmas to Egypt over the New Year 2008 week. And I am not feeling good about what I'm going to say but it was the worst holiday of my life. I didn't want to go, I was invited to 2 parties that same week, 2 parties that I know were going to be absolutely awesome, at which I know I would have had a great fun with my friends...  Well, we went to Taba, the flight was bad to go and on the way back, they were in the middle of the night, not comfortable and really tiring, moreover we ended up in a golden prison. The hotel resort was built for tourists who only want to go to the beach and the beach is of no interest for me. We could not get out of the hotel resort if we were not on the list and paid for an excursion and got our passport back from the travel agency, we were very far away from everything. There was nothing to see, nothing to do, no animation in the hotel, I was so bored. Fortunately, we went on one excursion to Jordania, to Petra, it was a nice day as finally there was something to see and do.
